Random thoughts and ...oh look a squirrel!

First of all, Hello!! It’s been a while, far too long if you ask some of the few
followers that I have. Which I guess is true since I last posted in April.
I will try to be more post oriented from now on.
That being said, let me catch you up on some things!

I have a roommate! Yup, that’s right, I sure do, I have a roommate.
She’s pretty awesome. We work slightly opposite schedules so we
don’t see each other often, but I think that’s one of the things that
works about it. It’s nice to have the companionship. It really is.
It’s nice to have someone else to talk to. Molly isn’t always super
responsive and let’s be honest, she really only cares about
her world of treats and getting as much attention as possible. It is
REALLY nice to have someone around because when I was sick in
bed for a whole weekend she would check in on me and ask
if I needed anything. In case you’re wondering, I didn’t find her on
Craigslist, nope, I found her at a bar!!! Perfect right? Just kidding, kind of.
She is actually a high school friend who happens
to be a bartender at a bar that I now frequent. LOL!! She’s legit.

I went camping! I bought MY OWN tent and I put it up by myself!
It was pretty easy. I love camping, always have.
(No matter what my DB-EX might think.)
Anyway, I had a blast making up my tent with twinkle lights and fun
stuff like that. It was the first time in my life that I slept in a tent alone.
Don’t get me wrong I had friends in a tent not 4 feet from my tent so I
wasn’t ALONE-alone,  but I was by myself in my tent. I am working
up the nerve to go camping by myself next!! We’ll see.

We had our 3rd annual Girls Weekend in May. It was awesome.
Don’t get me wrong, we always have a good time, but this year we
went to Westport, WA and stayed in a beautiful house right on the beach.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to have our girl time!
We went wine tasting at the Westport Winery. If you like wine, and have
never been there, then I HIGHLY recommend going. They have great
wines and a fabulous little restaurant as well. It’s a fun winery. We had
a great group of girls attend this year too. The group varies from year to year.
But we always have a grand time no matter who comes,
I mean, after all, I do have only the best girlfriends!

Recently I saw myself on a video. OH. MY. GOSH.
That was an eye opener. I’ve been doing pretty darn well since my life-flip
with eating better and moving more. I feel pretty dang good. I've been feeling
pretty awesome actually. . . but then I saw myself on the video. Time to buckle
down a little more. Time to get back on the treadmill, honestly, I’d fallen off
that horse since learning of my DB-EX’s upcoming nuptials, but EFF that business!!
They aren’t derailing this awesome warrior! Nope. Nope. Nope. Karma will take
care of those two. I will take care of myself. The horse has been mounted.
Hmmm….maybe that sounds a little…disturbing….I’m back in the saddle!!
(That’s better, LOL!)

I don't have much more random stuff to report. The year of me continues.
I do have another post running through my head, that one should be posted
by the end of the weekend.
